STANLEY AND MAUD uses Sterling Silver, Gold Filled, Gold Vermeil and 9ct Gold across the collection.

18ct Gold Vermeil jewellery is when Sterling Silver is plated with at least 2.5 microns of real 18ct Gold. STANLEY AND MAUD uses a plating specialist in Hatton Garden, London, whom plate with 3 microns for a strong, luxurious, durable, highly polished warm gold finish.

Gold filled jewellery is when a layer of 14k gold is bonded to a base metal such as brass. It is hard wearing and seen as a more cost friendly alternative to solid gold, only certain designs within the collection are available in Gold Filled.

All designs can be made in solid 9ct Gold, please get in touch with the details of your desired piece including any sizing, prices are on application only.

STANLEY AND MAUD hallmark all designs which are not exempt. Each proudly carry our Maker's Mark (SM) and the hallmark of London Goldsmith's Hall. Hallmarked Gold Vermeil designs carry the hallmark of the core metal, Sterling Silver.

STANLEY AND MAUD offers inclusive sizing on all pieces but if you feel you'd like your piece a little bit bigger, smaller or longer please get in touch.

Rings are made in UK sizing including half sizes. If you're unsure of your fit SM advise using a Ring Sizer.

If you order the incorrect size you may be charged for a re-size or a re-fit. Most SM designs within the collection are made to order therefore returns and exchanges are not possible. If you require some help with sizing before ordering please get in touch.

Gold Vermeil designs are made in Silver and then sent to a plating specialist in Hatton Garden so ensuring you have the correct fit ensures you won't be charged an additional fee for replating if you require a re-size.

Plated designs should not be put into any chemical solution or cleaning pot, SM recommend wiping your pieces down with a soft jewellery cloth after wear to remove any build up of your day. If required, please email for details on having your GV pieces re-plated.
