STAMPING YOUR STORIES SINCE 2015

STANLEY AND MAUD was an accident.

I never intended to start a business, I was on maternity leave from my events role and I was made redundant.

I was devastated, having just had a baby I had no idea what I was going to do. 

Our son was a real sleeper and I'm not very good at sitting still, I'm a serial creative, I always have to be doing something.

During maternity leave I'd tried knitting (fail), sewing quilts (fail) and decorating our family home 43627234 times. I'm a seasonal gardener and after completing a kitchen herb garden I needed some markers.

After searching online I didn't see many I liked...I saw some rustic handstamped ones in the US but they still weren't quite right. I started looking into the method of handstamping and I became a woman obsessed.

I spent the dregs of my maternity pay on stamping supplies and so my story begins.

Family and friends were being given herb markers, keyrings, bookmarks (pretty much anything I could stamp) whether they liked it or not.

Long story short I started being asked by friends of friends for things so I set up socials (@stanleyandmaud) and soon after an Etsy shop.

My business is named after my children's snugs...'MAUD','STANLEY'.

Being the magpie I am I soon branched into simple jewellery pieces which led me to creating my own website.

Still to this day I'm completely self taught.

I adore jewellery.

I love how it can lift and elevate your mood as well as your outfits.

I love how it empowers me and can brighten my mood.

My rule - If I don't sound like a windchime I'm not wearing enough!

I have an eye for classic, timeless style and I design jewellery that I wear myself every single day.

My collection is made up of handcrafted pieces, alongside curated designs to compliment, layer and build your own personal style and collection.

Since 2015 my collection has developed but the concept for my brand has always been

I am the sole founder of Stanley and Maud, I am incredibly proud of what I have built and what I have learnt, my brand is everything to me.

I feel incredibly thankful and grateful to my customers, being trusted to be a part of your stories by the jewellery designs that you choose and knowing your designs mean the world to you like mine are to me is so very special.
